Golden Sands - the pearl of Bulgarian Black Sea coast - the most popular Bulgarian seaside resort, is rightly his name from sand softness and beauty of its beaches. Located just 15 km from Albena and some 18 km from Varna, the resort runs within the national park "Golden Sands", carefully groomed by environmentalists. term "Golden Sands" in the Romanian language is a translation from Bulgarian " Zlatni piasaci ", that in English is called" Golden Sands. Golden Sands name comes from an ancient legend that says the place many years ago, some pirates have buried a great treasure on the Black Sea shore north of Varna, and nature took revenge on the pirates transform gold into a splendid sand.
